The next item on the list is chair. First, see the ties on the left and the chair on the right. Then see the ties lying on the chair. See this in your mind's eye with your eyes open. Focus in on the picture, and see it over and over again. Now the hanger. See a chair on the left and one or more hangers on the right. Associate the chair, bouncing up and down on the hangers. Do not just think the words: it is important to visually see the hangers and the chair in your mind's eye. The more you try to see it, the easier it becomes. The legs of the chair are commingling with the hangars. To associate the hanger and the violin, see the hanger (on the left) playing the violin on the right. Now add one more item, the pipe. See the violin on the left, and the pipe on the right and associate the two by visualizing the violin smashing the pipe to bits. Focus in. This completes the memorization. Before recalling the list, a review is in order to reinforce the associations. This will help you retain the information. I will give you a set of two images at a time and your associations will come to mind for each pair. Refocus in...
Now that you have reinforced the associations, it is time to recall the items on the list. Start with the positive suggestion, "I will be able to recall, it is easy and I can do it." Take a few deep breaths to bring oxygen to the brain, then ask the question, "What is on Memoryman's list?" | ||
